EDITORIAL POLICY

Evidence first. Editorial judgment always.

Our editorial standard is practical guidance that makes its evidence, limitations, and commercial context clear.

Our editorial principles

Independence

Affiliate relationships do not determine editorial recommendations. Product fit, evidence, strengths, and limitations remain the basis for guidance. Commercial inquiries are not evidence for a claim and do not justify suppressing a relevant limitation.

Evidence

Prefer identifiable primary sources for product facts. Distinguish manufacturer claims from GoPolli’s conclusions, and distinguish both from measured test results. When reliable information is unavailable, omit the unsupported fact or explain the limitation instead of filling the gap.

Transparency

Bylines identify the person responsible for an article. A separate reviewer should be shown only when that reviewer and their contribution are verified. Background information must not imply professional licenses or testing credentials that have not been established. Any material personal or commercial interest relevant to coverage should be disclosed.

Honest labels

Research-based coverage must not imply physical testing. Hands-on claims require actual hands-on evidence, with the scope explained. Historical scores with unreconstructable weighting must retain that limitation; they must not be presented as newly measured performance.

How we create content

Source checks, honest labels and editorial responsibility remain part of the work. These stages do not imply a separate team of reviewers.
01

Research

Identify sources and separate documented facts from promotional claims.
02

Write

Explain practical fit, strengths, limitations and the basis of the evidence.
03

Review

Check the claims and their source context. A separate reviewer is named only when verified.
04

Update

Correct or qualify an affected statement when new evidence warrants it.

Recommendations need an editorial case

Product selection

Product fit, evidence, strengths, and limitations remain the basis for guidance. A commercial inquiry does not justify suppressing a relevant drawback.

Scores with limitations intact

Historical scores with unreconstructable weighting are not newly measured performance. GoPolli does not fabricate a missing formula.

A record that can be corrected

When evidence shows a factual error, the affected statement should be corrected or qualified. Substantive revisions should make the changed information and relevant review context understandable. Source checks are snapshots, not guarantees that specifications or retailer listings will remain unchanged. GoPolli does not promise a universal update timetable.

Updates

Rechecks provide a source snapshot, not a guarantee that product information stays unchanged.

Corrections

Correct or qualify the affected statement when evidence shows a factual error.

Commercial separation

Any paid placement or sponsored content must be clearly identified and kept distinguishable from editorial recommendations. These standards do not imply that GoPolli currently operates an advertising or sponsorship program. No undisclosed sponsorship relationship is assumed.
Affiliate relationships do not determine editorial recommendations.

AI-assisted work

AI tools assist with drafting, organizing information, and site production. AI output is not a primary source, a product test, or proof of a claim. Product facts still need source verification, and responsibility for the published work remains with GoPolli.

Help identify a specific concern

Useful editorial feedback identifies the article, the specific statement, and supporting evidence where available. GoPolli’s public contact method is awaiting configuration. No response-time guarantee is offered.
